GLBT Organizations in Southwest Idaho


Gay sunday brunch:  A nice and safe place to meet gay people from Idaho Falls.    They meet every Sunday.  Click on link to find out more.
Idaho Falls PFLAG This is a great and safe place to meet gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender, parents of gays and just supporters of GLBT community.    They meet every third Sunday in the Universal Unitarian Church.
Genesis Project:  This is a social group that educates young men about safe sex practices.  It is for young men from 18-35 years of age.  The have a lot of different activities and a center in Pocatello.
Breaking Boundaries:  This is a great resource for funding projects that relate to LGBT activities.   You can also volunteer to the different activities and fund raising events.  This organization was started by the LGBT community but have broken help other underrepresented groups in Idaho Falls area.
LGBT Community Group This group is at the United Church of Christ in Pocatello on Sunday afternoons from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.  I have not been but it looks very promising.
Idaho State University LGBT Straight Alliance:   an organization at ISU that provides services that promote advocacy, education, outreach, and student counseling.  (lgbtsa@isu.edu) (FACEBOOK Page)

Southern Idaho GLBT Community Center
Southern Idaho GLBT Community Center's mission is to promote the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, intersex and transgender persons, their families and friends through support to cope with an adverse society, education to enlighten an ill-informed public and advocacy to end discrimination and secure equal rights.  Utah Bears
It is membership-based group organized and operated exclusively to support the eradication of discrimination, especially with regard to physical appearance and to promote diversity and inclusiveness in our community; foster positive community involvement and service and to raise funds in support of such not for profit organizations as approved by the Board; provide social opportunities that enhance the personal growth and self-esteem of the Bear Community and the LGBT Community as a whole.  Typically has a yearly camping trip in Idaho

The purpose of the “Idaho Agenda” is to spotlight current voices, stories, news and projects of those participating in the equality movement here in Idaho and beyond. Its mixture of local, national and regional news, information and commentary will hopefully inspire its readers to join in the “agenda”.

rAll Under One Roof: LGBT Youth Centers of Southeastern Idaho

All Under One Roof, LGBT Youth Center, will be opening to young people (ages 13 up to 24 years old) lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth who are questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity, identify as queer, or are straight  allies. The center is committed to emphasizing the voice of the youth as the most important contribution. Center programs and services are designed to assist young people in developing a true sense of self in order to encourage confidence in each individual’s uniqueness and help them discover their commonalities with others.

 Pocatello Pride

Mission statement: We aim to celebrate diversity within the community of Southeastern Idaho. We welcome everyone, regardless of gender orientation, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, or disability. Our goal is to help educated the community about issues, including those exclusive to the LGBTQ community, and help educated the community about themselves. We strive to offer medically relevant tests and help the larger surrounding community along the way.
